La Motte Street Jersey

This project took the form of a redevelopment of a prominent corner plot in St. Helier, Jersey, to provide 2,370m² of office space over five floors for Equity & Law.  The design included a triangular plan shaped full height atrium, making use of the area provided by the angle of the frontage to La Motte Street and long elevation to Hilary Street. Bold internal sun shading blinds were installed to minimise the solar gain on the south facing elevation.  The stair tower also provided a strong visual feature, formed, like the atrium, in bespoke stainless steel curtain walling to survive the harsh maritime environment.
